Being based in the Kansas City area means that we are considered “Flatlanders”. This is a little misleading, because we are positioned at the confluence of two major rivers, so there are plenty of hills in our vicinity. Of course none of these begin to compare with what we find when we head West towards the Rocky Mountains. The drive across the state of Kansas can be grueling if you are only passing through. For those with a sense of exploration it is a vast canvas of untapped potential. This is not to say that there haven’t been times we merely rushed across on our way to a specific target, but for those looking to meander there are hidden gems to be found.
